So you are on Andros Island! We have prepared an afternoon filled with local products, famous pasta, and a festive environment so you can get a real "taste" of the island! Perfect for a great race the next day!
All local producers will be exhibiting in Korthi Bay (Ormos Korthiou) their most exquisite products! Local cheese, honey, capers, homemade jams and spoon sweets, wine, liqueur, pasta, etc at your disposal to discover, taste, and bring back home!
Furthermore, you will taste the famous pasta on our island! The old abbot of the Monastery of Panachrantos (crossed by the 24km Main Race), archimandrite Evdokimos, and the fathers of the monastery, will be cooking for you with the finest ingredients!
Handmade delicious pasta from Mrs. Stavroula Louvari, and sauce with fresh local vegetables, accompanied by local cheese offered by the Korthian creameries Asouti and Louvari. Τhe chef Dimitris Giginis is in charge of the pasta party while the bakery TO FOURNARAKI provided us with the best quality flour for the noodles.
Those who want dessert will certainly be thrilled with Andros macaroons, special due to their flower-water scent!
The event will start early, on Saturday, free for everyone, and will be also completed early, so that we can all rest and be prepared for the next day’s race!
